We are looking for a self-starter. Are you capable of working alone with little supervision? Can you hold yourself to a high standard while working alone? , lake management tech. Daily responsibilities mixing and applying restricted use pesticides, following the “label is the law”, identifying algae/plant species, working in the heat. Boat, ATV/UTV, and backpack work required. Previous experience in the lake, preserve, and wetland management industry is preferred.

Must Have at a MINIMUM
Preferred:
1 or more years of verifiable experience managing nuisance and exotic vegetation in lakes, ponds, and wetlands. Commercial or Public Applicators License with an Aquatic and/or Natural Areas endorsement would be a plus.
- A Working Knowledge Of Common Chemicals Used In Lake Management
- Good Math Skills
- Ability To Lift 40Lbs To Shoulder Height
- Work Extended Hours In Hot And Humid Conditions
- Work In Remote Areas
- Swim And Confidently Work Around Water
- Work Near Dangerous Wildlife
Ideal candidate will be able to:
- Calculate Prescribed Tank-Mix When Given A Known Application Rate And Area
- Training Will Be Provided On All Equipment
- Identify Basic Plant Species Commonly Found In Wetlands
- Operate A Pickup Truck While Towing An ATV, UTV, Small Boat Or Airboat
A positive attitude and ability to learn, adapt, and take initiative will overcome any lack of experience!
